Steps taken towards organisational development and solidarity from 1985 to the present day.
Sector solidarity has begun in Tahtakale
The foundations for the association’s establishment were laid when seven sector representatives in Tahtakale began publishing lists of protested bills and dishonoured cheques in order to support the market.
The association has been officially established
The association was established under the name “Istanbul Stationery Manufacturers, Importers and Wholesalers Solidarity Association”; an office was rented at Tahtakale Vakıf Han No. 712 to serve as its headquarters.

“Blacklist” bulletins and the first General Assembly
For a time, the association published lists of dishonoured cheques and protested bills of exchange, under the title ‘Blacklist’, in the form of a newsletter to its members; activities were organised in response to members’ needs through meetings.
31 January 1987 at the first General Meeting held on Hüseyin Kılıçkan was brought forward; furthermore, the honorary membership of Anatolian wholesalers was accepted.
Booklets, catalogues and collaborative works
The lists were compiled into booklets and sent to members annually. Catalogues containing advertisements from stationery wholesalers were produced; collaborative projects were carried out with Yayıncılar Birliği ve İstanbul Defter İmalatçıları Derneği Association.
Charity campaigns and educational support
Aid campaigns were organised for our compatriots affected by the social unrest in Bulgaria and for those in need following the Erzincan earthquake. School supplies were distributed to pupils in the earthquake-affected region via the Provincial Directorates of National Education.
Membership growth, automation and trade fair support
Membership numbers have increased, and an automation system has been installed at the association’s headquarters. Support has been provided for sector-specific trade fair events through a partnership with “Eren Tanıtım”.
The constitution has been updated, and the First Stationery Congress was held
In accordance with the amended constitution, the name of the association has been changed to “TÜKİD”. 10 May 2000 The First Stationery Congress was held on [date], and the proceedings were published in booklet form. Subsequently, work continued in line with members’ needs, as identified through surveys.
The name “Association of All Stationers” was adopted
In accordance with the amended constitution, the association has adopted the name “Tüm Kırtasiyeciler Derneği”.
